Expert Rooftop Unit Service in Sacramento, CA

Commercial rooftop unit service keeps the packaged RTU systems on your building running through every season Sacramento throws at them. Hot & Cold HVAC services RTUs on retail strip centers, office parks, restaurants, and light industrial buildings throughout Sacramento. Our technicians inspect and service every key component: compressor health, condenser coils, evaporator coils, fan motors, capacitors, contactors, refrigerant charge, economizer dampers, and gas heat sections. Sacramento's summers push rooftop ambient temperatures to extremes, accelerating wear on condenser fan motors and compressors faster than in milder climates. Catching those issues during a scheduled service visit costs far less than an emergency repair mid-July. We bring proper rooftop safety equipment and a stocked parts inventory to every call, so most common RTU problems are handled in a single visit. If your building's RTU is showing weak airflow, warm air, unusual cycling, or rising energy bills, call Hot & Cold HVAC to schedule a service inspection today.

Rooftop Unit Service FAQ

Common questions about rooftop unit service in Sacramento, CA.

Yes, we service commercial RTUs on office buildings, retail centers, restaurants, and light industrial facilities across Sacramento. Our technicians are trained and equipped for rooftop work on every visit.

A service call covers coil cleaning, refrigerant check, filter inspection, fan motor and capacitor testing, contactor inspection, and a full electrical review. We document findings and walk you through any repairs needed before we start work.

Most Sacramento commercial buildings benefit from service at least twice a year, once before summer cooling season and once before winter heating season. The city's intense summer heat puts extra strain on condenser components, making pre-season checks especially important.

Yes, unusual noises from an RTU often signal a failing fan motor, loose component, or compressor issue that gets worse if ignored. Calling Hot & Cold HVAC for a Sacramento service visit early can prevent a more costly repair later.

Yes, flat and low-slope roofs are the most common setup for Sacramento commercial RTU installations, and our technicians arrive with the proper safety equipment for that access. We work on a wide range of building types throughout the Sacramento area.

The most common issues we find are condenser fan motor failures, low refrigerant charge, dirty condenser coils, and worn capacitors or contactors. Sacramento's high summer temperatures accelerate wear on these components more than in cooler climates.

Hot and cold has been maintaining our ac systems for years. They changed out 2 roof top units for our business a few years back. Great work with zero issues. They also did my house. Great company and highly recommend them.

Tim from hot & cold came out for second opinion after another company said our system couldn’t be repaired. Then they quotes us 15k for a new system. Tim had our system repaired in a couple hours and said it should be replace in the near future since it’s 18 years old. We plan on having hot $ cold replace our system next month for thousands cheaper than the other company quote. We really appreciate the honesty professionalism from time to time. Highly recommend this company.

Hot and cold came out to our house fixed our air conditioner, gave us a quote to replace our old system, we plan on having them out to put in a new system. They showed up on time and their prices were fair, Tim seemed very knowledgeable. Thank you for the help.

We had a freon leak and, of course, it happened during the triple digit heat wave when we needed AC the most! We were referred to Tim and he was able to fit us in his schedule right away. He was able to identify the source of the leak and repair it. He stands by his great work and his company is also reasonably priced. Our neighbors have also been having AC issues and we've been referring everyone to Tim! We'll be keeping his contact info for any future needs!
